The Fifth-Grade class learned vocabulary related to journalism, talk about journalism, and watch a short video. Fifth-grade students learned what a reporter does. The students used the following skills: listening, speaking, vocabulary and comprehension. The class also practiced role playing skills by having each student take on different roles in their news stories.

The students have been studying about Christmas around the world. They have learned that in some countries, different symbols are used and there are different traditions. Now they want to ask Santa for presents to celebrate Christmas with their family.
